BirdBot
Birdbot was developed when my girlfriend brought home a electronic singing bird. It worked for about ten minutes and then proceeded to die a horrible electronic screeching death. So what did I do? I popped it open, made a new circuit board to go inside and programmed an ATtiny85 microprocessor to play old Nokia cell phone ringtones whenever the light sensor (the hole in the bird's chest) detected any rapid change in lighting conditions. It plays 20 something different songs, most of which are Christmas music as it was originally meant to be a Christmas decoration. Over all a fun, easy project that made great use of these fantastic little $1 microprocessors!
